We’ve been hearing rumors about a super-flagship from Motorola since the beginning of the year. The device codenamed Motorola Frontier is said to be the first smartphone to reach the market with a 200 MP camera, moreover, it will also be one of the first flagships with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. A few months ago, Motorola’s executive also stated that there will be a flagship with the company’s 125W fast-charging system. The device emerged as a rumor, but everything around it has been materializing. As per the leaks, it will be called Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, and apparently, got its 3C certification.
SNAPDRAGON 8+ GEN 1, 200 MP CAMERA, AND 125W CHARGING CONFIRMED
The alleged Motorola Edge 30 Ultra passed by the China Compulsory Certification with model number XT2241-1. As usual, the 3C certification brings details on the charging technology, and apparently, this smartphone will indeed bring up to 125W fast charging. This isn’t the fastest in the industry nowadays but is still super-fast, and is Motorola’s highest-ever charging standard. In fact, the Lenovo-based brand took a while to jump into the fast-changing trend, but finally improved things this year with the Motorola Edge 30 Pro bringing 68W fast-charging.
The Motorola XT2251-1 and XT2243-2 have recently been approved by the Ministry of the Industry and Information Technology. According to a Chinese leakster, the XT2251-1 will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ and will reach the market in July. The XT2243-2 is a successor to the Motorola Edge 20 series, but we don’t know exactly what that means. Motorola itself, already confirmed it will launch a new flagship phone in July. It will carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and will bring a 200 MP camera. The 200 MP camera is one of Samsung’s latest releases in the camera segment, however, this camera will not come within the Galaxy S23 Ultra. So, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will debut this sensor and probably will be the only phone with it for a while.
