Microsoft has rolled out another Windows 11 Insider Preview, the second public beta of its new OS. Windows 11 build 22000.65 remains exclusive to the Windows Insider Programme Dev channel, so we not necessarily recommend installing it on a daily driver. Anecdotally, we have encountered no serious issues when using Windows 11 so far, though.
Windows 11 build 22000.65 contains numerous changes, improvements and fixes, which you can in Microsoft’s latest Windows Insider Blog post. However, the new features that Microsoft has added a relatively insignificant, if needed.
For example, Windows 11 build 22000.65 allows you to show your taskbar on all displays, a bug in the previous Insider Preview build. Additionally, the start menu now contains a dedicated search bar, negating the Search taskbar item somewhat. Supposedly, Snap Layouts work better in the new build, although they still do not work across all programs.
‘Power mode’ settings are now available from within the Power & battery page too, which is a welcome change. Overall, Windows 11 build 22000.65 offers minor changes compared to build 22000.51. The new build also contains multiple known issues, which we would recommend reading before upgrading from build 22000.51 or Windows 10.
