G’ACE International, a luxury craft brand based in Ho Chi Minh City, has introduced a limited-edition iPhone 18 Pro Max customized with diamonds and high-strength metals, with the top version priced at up to US$11,100.
Named the iPhone 18 Pro Max Prime Master Diamond 0.79 CT, the customized phone features a 0.79-carat diamond and took nine days and nights of technical work to complete, G’ACE said.
The most eye-catching feature is on the rear camera module, where artisans placed a diamond named Prime Element at the point where the three lenses meet.
To produce the finished 0.79-carat stone, the artisans cut it from a round high-pressure, high-temperature lab-grown diamond rough weighing around 1.5-1.8 carats, according to G’ACE.
The diamond was cut in a Trillion Cut, an equilateral triangular shape with 6.3 mm sides, a technique requiring high precision to optimize light refraction on the phone’s flat back.
The three camera lenses are surrounded by machined steel bezels set with natural diamonds.
The Apple logo on the back was also remade in Titanium, with an option to have it set with Baguette-cut diamonds arranged in layered rectangular shapes.
G’ACE emphasized that only 10 units of the customized iPhone will be produced worldwide.
The listed price starts at VND239 million ($9,200) for the standard version and rises to VND289 million ($11,100) for the version featuring a Baguette diamond-encrusted Apple logo.
The bespoke phone combines handcrafted jewelry-making with high technology, turning a mass-produced consumer device into a limited collector’s item.
G’ACE said the iPhone 18 Pro Max presented new challenges for customization because its original aluminum alloy frame has different hardness and surface properties.
The metal is softer and more prone to scratches, while its surface is more difficult to process with advanced plating techniques than that of the previous generation.
The larger camera module also required technicians to measure and reprogram all specifications from scratch.
Rather than modifying only the exterior surface, the technical team made deeper changes to the phone’s load-bearing structure.
All original aluminum edge brackets and physical buttons were replaced with 304L stainless steel combined with Titanium.
The Camera Control button, however, retained its original touch-sensitive structure to preserve Apple’s operating functions, G’ACE said.
