Huawei Pura 80 series coming soon to Indonesia, but there’s a catch

Huawei Pura 80 series will soon take center stage in Indonesia. A new input shows that the flagship models have qualified for the Indonesian market via a network certificate. However, there is a catch that may disappoint consumers in the country.

Pura 80 series debuted with three models in the overseas market. Unlike the Chinese sibling, the company skipped the Pro+ smartphone variant for the global consumers.

Despite this elimination, the good news was that all three models have 5G capability. But the Huawei Pura 80 variants for Indonesia might not bring this support.

As per the Indonesian listing, the Pura 80 phones with LMR-LX9 and LMU-LX9 will support LTE TTD/ LTE FDD/ WCDMA/ HSPA+/DC-HSDPA/ EDGE/ GPRS.

These terms are primarily associated with 3G and 4G networks, but not 5G. The first two terms  – LTE TTD and LTE FDD are the cores of 4G networks, and the last two define 2G networks. The rest in between belong to the 3G family.

X tipster @sondesix further said that Pura 8 0 Pro and Pura 80 Ultra are certified for the Indonesian market. It means the company hasn’t listed the standard model. Hence, it’s uncertain whether the vanilla variant will come to Indonesia.

The company has not revealed the timeline for the Pura 80 series launch in Indonesia. Although we may soon get the details, probably through the official page.

Specifications:

Pura 80 Pro and Ultra have a 6.8-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 1440Hz PWM dimming. Both equips EMUI 15 with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Though storage variants may vary in different countries.

Huawei has used four cameras for the Pura 80 Pro, including a 50MP one-inch main lens (f/1.6-4.0 + OIS), a 48MP super-focus macro telephoto sensor, a 40MP ultrawide shooter, and a 1.5MP multi-spectral lens for better color restoration. The front side has a 13MP selfie snapper.

But the case is different with the Pura 8 0 Ultra with a penta-camera module. The framework has a 50MP main lens, a 40MP ultra-wide-angle, a 50MP telephoto sensor + 12.5MP telephoto sensor, and a 1.5MP multi-spectral sensor.

The two devices pack a 5170mAh battery with 100W super-fast wired and 80W SuperCharge wireless charging.
