Upcoming Huawei product has an incredible form factor: Chairman

Huawei Consumer Business Group Chairman Richard Yu has shared a new post on the upcoming “unexpected product” and revealed a few details about its form factor. Looks like the company has used breakthrough technologies to craft its next creation.

Earlier, Richard mentioned that Huawei’s most incredible product is coming in March. Now, the executive described a key point regarding the device’s appearance.

Richard Yu posted a 38-second video on his Weibo page. The Chairman said that the upcoming Huawei product has an incredible form factor. It will also include breakthrough changes in hardware, software, and application experiences.

Form factor refers to the hardware design of a device including size, shape, and other physical parameters. It suggests the overall appearance and layout of a product.

The executive mentioned it will be an extraordinary device, featuring native HarmonyOS intelligence. But Yu didn’t reveal the name of this mysterious handset.

In terms of applications, Richard Yu said that partners like Tencent, Alibaba, ByteDance, and more are making efforts to optimize the native HarmonyOS app performance and provide users with a smarter and more convenient experience.

From the statement and early revelations, the device seems to be a Pocket 3 foldable. The phone may debut next month with a new design and amazing features.

Pocket 3 will likely be the first Huawei device to pre-install the HarmonyOS NEXT. The Mate 70 series launched with dual operating system support (HarmonyOS NEXT and 4.3 version). But the next foldable phone may solely rely upon the native HarmonyOS software version.

Apart from the software, the upcoming vertical folding smartphone may support 5.5G network technology to deliver a seamless connection to its users.

Meanwhile, leaks revealed that the device will feature the most unique look this time. It would be a smaller, thinner, and more lightweight product than its predecessors.
