Huawei has already planned the next phase of its satellite communication technologies for smartphones and it includes the satellite mobile hotspot sharing feature.
Huawei is a leader in satellite communication mobile technology and it achieved this landmark first hand later last month. Huawei Mate 50 series was the first smartphone lineup to equip satellite tech. In action, the satellite SMS allows users to send SMS without a mobile network.
Initially, the tech only supports one-way transmission, which means you can only send SMS. Earlier this year, Huawei introduced two-way satellite SMS to send and receive satellite-based SMS. This evolution of technology enables better communication similar to a cellular SMS.
It’s reported that other smartphone makers are also planning to introduce satellite SMS with their flagship. These include Samsung and other Android partners. You should know that Apple already launched the Satellite SOS feature to take part in this unique race.
Since all of these phone companies are now racing for an SMS-only system, Huawei is now preparing to go two steps further. In that case, tipster FixedFocus is saying that the development phase for a few years would turn around the satellite mobile hotspot sharing feature.
On the other hand, the tipster currently denied the satellite calling feature. Also, more details about the satellite hotspot sharing remains unknown. However, the satellite hotspot sharing feature could be used to share this capability on Huawei and other devices.
So far, Huawei devices could only use s atellite communication on their own and this would make it the first to share it with other devices. Still, there’s no information available from the official channel.
