UAE visit visas can be extended to 30, 60, 90 days

UAE visit visa extension up to 90 days

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has introduced a new service for extending a visit visa for a relative or friend for one or multiple entries for 30, 60, or 90 days.

The visit visa extension can be done through ICP’s smart channels. Once the visa has been granted, the holder must enter the country within 60 days of the date of issuance.

The entry permit’s validity will be 30, 60, or 90 days, and the individual must leave the country or extend the entry permit before it expires to avoid being fined Dh100 for each day.

What are the conditions for obtaining a visit visa?

— The visitor must be a relative or friend of a UAE citizen or resident.
— Evidence of kinship must be attached.
— Provide the purpose for a visit. If the purpose is that the foreign husband wants to visit her wife, who is a citizen of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, he must have a valid residence permit for the wife.
— Pay the financial guarantee according to the purpose.

GCC countries include Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.

What are the other services for visas?

ICP has allowed one-time holders of 90-day visas to extend their visas for 30 days. But if their residency exceeds six months, they are not permitted to apply for a residency renewal.

UAE residents can apply from abroad on their own for a visit visa for a relative or friend through the UAEICP smart application. It provides the service of canceling and changing visa data for citizens of the GCC countries who do not have a UAE ID.

ICP has urged everyone to download the UAEICP smart application for the services offered, which include the request for a visit visa that requires logging in through the app with the UAE pass digital identity, then selecting “Start a new service,” and clicking on “New visa,” where there is a list containing a vis a, depending on the type of visit visa.
