Huawei Mate 50 Pro, setting new benchmark for flagship smartphone with these 5 new technologies

After a decade of pushing boundaries with the Mate series, HUAWEI Consumer Business Group (CBG) Malaysia (leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices) is enhancing the next generation of Mate series with a slew of cutting-edge and sophisticated technology that are embedded to propel it to the next level.

The new Mate 50 Pro boasts HUAWEI’s own mobile camera imaging technology, XMAGE by building four technical pillars: optical system, mechanical structure, imaging technology and imaging processing, that brings a breakthrough for mobile imaging system. The XMAGE Camera System features an industry leading Ultra Aperture Camera System with 10-size adjustable physical aperture equipped with industry’s largest aperture of F1.4, Super Night Mode, Professional Portrait and Super Macro – surpassing all its predecessors to give you that crisp and sharp image quality with every snap.

This flagship HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro is also packed with 4,700mAh and equipped with 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge, to strike an optimal balance between battery life, fast charging and portability. This time, HUAWEI has launched the latest Low-battery Emergency Mode which combines a high-specification battery with powerful EMUI 13 algorithms and the SuperEnergy Boosting technology to fully maximise your phone capabilities. Squeezing every ounce of juice available, the technology allows the users to utilise the last 1% for up to 3-hour standby or 12-minute phone calling.

In continuing their goal of creating a productive and efficient user interface, the Mate 50 Pro will be the first to run on EMUI13 to give users a Super Device Experience while being a smartphone with an aesthetic and functional design that is flawless. The EMUI13 comes with new features for a more user-friendly user experience. Consumers can swipe up on certain app icons to generate Service Widgets for the apps in the phone’s home screen. Service Widget contains in-app information that can display all the information users need. In addition, EMUI13 will help to clear up to 20GB storage space by stacking duplicate files, compressing lesser-used apps, and eliminating unnecessary re-downloads, leaving more room for the things you love.

In term of screen durability, HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro has set a new benchmark with the introduction of the first ever five-star glass drop resistant certification from Switzerland’s SGS KunLun glass, which translates to having the well-rounded device to be 10 times drop resistance improved (1). The device also supports IP68 rated water resistance of up to 6 metres, allowing the phone to cope with wet and dusty environments (2).

Furthermore, the third largest application store, HUAWEI AppGallery makes the Mate 50 Pro accessible to an ocean of Malaysian favourite apps without risking your data or personal security.
